Trabzonspor

Founding

Trabzonspor is a Turkish football club based in Trabzon, Turkey, founded in 1967 from several smaller local clubs. Trabzonspor is seen as one of Turkey’s four big clubs, and it was long the only club from outside Istanbul to win the Turkish league. Trabzonspor is the only Turkish football club that has won both the female and male leagues. The club colors are burgundy and blue. Trabzonspor played its home games at the Hüseyin Avni Aker stadium. Trabzonspor has moved into the new stadium, the Medical Park Arena, with the 4-0 win against Gaziantepspor on 29 January 2017. Trabzonspor has a satellite club called 1461 Trabzon.
