Founding

Sivasspor is a Turkish football club based in Sivas, Turkey. The pedigree number is 000073 and the club colors are red and white. The club was founded in 1967. Sivasspor plays its home games in the Yeni 4 Eylül stadium which can accommodate 27,532 spectators. Sivasspor was formed in 1967 as the result of a merger of Sivas Gençlik Kulübü, Yolspor Gençlik Kulübü and Kizilirmak Gençlik Kulübü. In the club logo, the three clubs are represented by the three stars.

 

Success

In the 2008/09 season, the club achieved success by securing second place in the highest Turkish league. Thanks to this final ranking, they forced participation in the UEFA Champions League.
