Founding

NEC (Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie) is a professional football club from Nijmegen, founded on April 11, 1910, after a merger between Eendracht (November 15, 1900) and NVV Nijmegen (August 1, 1908).  The club plays in the Goffert stadium that can accommodate 12,500 spectators. The club colours are red, green and black. The logo refers with the two-headed eagle to the coat of arms of Nijmegen.

In the 2020/2021 season, NEC finished in seventh place in the Kitchen Champion Division. On May 23, 2021, N.E.C. won the final of the play-offs against NAC Breda with 1-2 and thus promotes to the Eredivisie after a 4-year absence.  In July 2021 NEC went on training camp at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Victoria-Hoenderloo.
