K.S.C. Lokeren

Founding

KSC Lokeren was a Belgian football club based in Lokeren. The merged club played in the Daknam stadium in Lokeren. The club colours were white-black-yellow and the club wore pedigree number 282. The club had a good period around 1980, when they finished high in the league a few times and also achieved some good results in Europe. In 2003, the club finished third. Since 2010, strong results have been achieved again, as evidenced by the two cup victories in the Belgian Cup, in 2012 and 2014, and three play-off-1 places. Lokeren played in the First Division until the 2018-2019 season. On April 20, 2020, the club was declared bankrupt. Two days later it was announced that Sporting Lokeren entered into an (unofficial) merger with KSV Temse under the name KSC Lokeren-Temse.[2]
