FC Utrecht

FC Utrecht is a Dutch professional football club that plays in the Eredivisie. Home of the club, which was founded in 1970 from a merger between Elinkwijk, DOS and Velox, is the Galgenwaard Stadium. On the UEFA ranking of the best clubs in Europe, FC Utrecht is in 235th place at the beginning of 2018 with 2 points.

General information

FC Utrecht was the first club outside the traditional ‘Top 3’ (Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord) to win the Johan Cruijff Scale (formerly Supercup) and, like the same ‘top 3’, has never been relegated from the Eredivisie. The latter can partly be attributed to the fact that FC Utrecht is one of the younger professional football organizations. But also one of the clubs from which FC Utrecht originated, DOS, played continuously in the Eredivisie from the beginning of professional football until 1970, so that the Utrecht has never been deprived of Eredivisie football.
